Strict quality control
All Weishardt’s semi-finished and finished products are subject to strict quality control. Weishardt’s quality specifications integrate physico-chemical and bacteriological parameters, which meet the applicable standards within the countries of manufacturing and delivery. Weishardt also implements controls on several additional specific parameters in order to ensure the delivered products meet all customers’ requirements every time.
Weishardt has established a super-efficient, high-performance ERP-integrated supply chain, which governs everything, from the purchase of raw material, right up to the delivery of the finished product to the customer.
Dedicated regulatory department
Weishardt operates a dedicated department that monitors and implements all standards and regulations applicable to its production sites. This department is also responsible for delivering product specifications to customers conform to all regulations applicable in the country where the end product will be sold.
Approved and controlled raw materials
Weishardt’s raw materials are derived exclusively from animals that have been inspected by official veterinary authorities and declared healthy and fit for human consumption. They are produced in slaughterhouses and cutting or filleting plants operated under strict veterinary controls.
All Weishardt’s suppliers are approved under at least one of the world’s major regulation : European Regulation 853/2004/EC, or United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
Fully certified factories
Weishardt’s factories are approved under European Regulation 853/2004/EC, which is recognized as one of the strictest standard in the world. All production sites are also certified ISO 9001 to ensure an optimum quality management.
All Weishardt’s gelatine factories are also certified according to the FSSC 22000 standard recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI), which guarantees that all gelatines are produced in high level hygienic environments.
Weishardt’s dry blends facility is ISO 22000 certified, ensuring strict management and monitoring of food safety.
